Bakau
have bagged back to back victories in the 2019-Africell-sponsored super
nawettan competition after winning their last two group matches.
The
coastal town boys slipped to defending champions Serrekunda East 1-0 in the
opening game, played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on 2 November.
They
defeated Farato, Busumbala and Yundum (FABY) 2-1 in their second group match at
the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama on Thursday to bounce back before thumping
Kombo Central Two 2-0 in their third group game, played at the Serrekunda West
Mini Stadium on Sunday to secure back to back wins in the country’s trendy
community biggest football fray.
Bakau
now snatched 6 points in three group matches and Kombo Central Two with 6
points after three group matches.
Meanwhile,
Kombo East defeated Jarra and Kiang United JAKU 2-1 to maintain their hundred
percent record in the tournament while Foni thrashed Serrekunda Central 3-1 at
the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to land their first win in the annual
championship after losing to Brikama 3-0 in their opening group match.
Kombo
East now bagged 9 points after three group matches, Foni and Serrekunda Central
are both with 3 points each while Jarra and Kiang United (JAKU) with zero
points in three group matches
