One Kanjura Fatty was recently arraigned before Magistrate Bojang of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for allegedly assaulting Alhagie Alpha Omar Jallow, the APRC chairman of Bakau Constituency.
According to the particulars of offence of the charge sheet of the Inspector General of Police, the accused, Kanjura Fatty, on 5 May 2013, at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, in the Kanifing Municipality, assaulted Alhagie Alpha Omar Jallow by hitting him on his face with his hand, and thereby committed an offence.
The accused, Kanjura Fatty, denied any wrongdoing.
Magistrate Bojang granted him bail of D5,000 with a Gambian surety, who should deposit his or her ID card to the court and swear to an affidavit of means.
This followed the application made by the prosecutor to call his witnesses to testify to arrive at justice.
The case was adjourned till 4 December 2013, for further hearing.
