Bahamas FC on Sunday beat Sutubakono FC 1-0 to snatch their first victory in the Sukuta Nawettan played at the Sukuta Dembadou Mini Stadium.
Both sides came into the game with a single point each and needed only a win to keep their hopes of securing a place in the quarterfinal.
Sutubakono FC dominated the ball possession and created several goal-scoring chances but squandered them.
Bahamas FC opened the score through striker Yusupha Sanyang in the 75th minute of the game from a penalty spot.
Sutubakono FC responded back for an equalizer but could not break through Bahamas FC’s formidable defence line and thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Bahamas FC.
