Awa Gaye, aka Awa G, is beyond question among the rising young talented female D.Js and presenters in The Gambia.
Awa G started her career with Radio 1 FM in 2005 while going to DaddyJobeComprehensiveSeniorSecondary School. She is now working with Paradise FM.
Speaking in a conversation with Entertainment on Wednesday, the young talented presenter said her aspiration is to become a very good and responsible journalist and presenter in the future.
She revealed that she plays zouk, cabo love, slow, hip-hop and R & B.
She further revealed that most of the time she used to hear ndaga, reggea, r&b, slow and dance hall played on air by DJs, less zouk or cabo so she decided to play them for the interest of the zouk and cabo lovers.
According to her, Gambian Artist can sing but they need to take more time in writing their songs, self-edit what they have written down before they enter the studio so that the outcome of the song would be interesting and enjoyable to their fans and listeners.
Awa G always play and promote Gambian Artists by playing their music all over the country.
