Interior star striker, Awa Demba, alias (Nesta) who is rated as one of the most outstanding female players in the just concluded female division one league championship has been named the leading goal scorer in the first division league, after netting eight (8) goals in eight league appearances.
The young footballer who have been at the centre of transfer speculation for the past twelve months, made her 1st debut for Interior this season with a total of eight goals in her name.
The former Red Scorpion star who has reiterated her allegiance to the club which has brought the best of Interior influential striker since securing her services five years ago from Red Scorpions has scored eight league matches for Interior, with the exception of her games against Company Ten and Abuko United as a result of the injury she sustained during that period.
Awa Demba's most outstanding performance to date came during Interior's humiliating 7-0 victory over relegation escapee Kinteh's United where she scored a magnificent close range effort, which she described as her most memorable goal throughout her football career.
The offensive-minded and creative forward further commended her team mates for what she described as their striking duo of Yamundow Jeng and Sariba Colley, whom she described as instrumental players.
Awa Demba was also instrumental in the female national team's historic 6-0 thrashing over Ziguinzor in Cassamance
