The attempted stealing case involving one Samba Camara continued recently at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Edward Singhateh.

It continued with the testimony of the first prosecution witness (PW1), Fatou Manneh.

Fatou Manneh told the court that she is a maid working at Brusubi and she recognised the accused person.

“I could recall 4th December 2012, when the welder man was working in the compound I am working. One of the friends of the welder walked out of the compound and left the gate open, while I was washing behind the house. I went towards the front elevation, and I saw the accused going into the living room,” she said.

She added that she asked the accused and the accused told her he was asking for one man, whom she did not know, saying she told the accused the man he was asking for was not living in the compound.

“When I left, he asked the welder man also and the weldersaid he did not know the man the accused was claiming to ask for. The accused went behind the compound and jumped over the fence,” she explained.

Ms Manneh added that she gripped the accused and called the boys, stating that the direction which the accused was heading to was full of properties.

The accused was later taken to Brusubi Police Station, where she gave a statement, she added.

The case continues.
