Jagne of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court recently convicted and sentenced one
Ousainou Jammeh to a mandatory jail term of one year after being found guilty
of attempted rape.
The charge sheet read that on 19 September 2014, at Kololi, in the Kanifing Municipality, he attempted to have carnal knowledge of an underage girl of 13 years.
