Members of the Public Accounts/Enterprises Committees (PAC/PEC) of the National Assembly Monday deferred submission of the 2010 Annual Report of the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSS).
This followed the institution’s failure to submit its 2011 annual activity report and audited financial statements.
“This report will not be adopted unless you present your 2011 annual activity report, which was recommended last year,” Speaker Abdoulie Bojang told the NYSS officials yesterday.
It would be recalled that during its February 2010 session, members of the PAC/PEC expressed concerns over the non-settlement of loans given to members and ex-corps members of the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSS).
