Asselem, Saturday defeated Strong FC 4-2 on post-match penalty shootout to reach the 2019-2020 Gunjur Nawettan konock-out quarterfinal after the regulation time ended 2-2 in a tricky encounter, played at the Gunjur Upper and Senior Secondary School football field.
The
Gunjur Asselem based-team were the first to found the ball at the back of the
net in the early part of the first half and strong boys leveled matters before
break.
Asselem
scored their second goal after the interval and strong FC leveled the scores
before full-time; this pushed the match into a penalty kick, which ended 4-2 in
favour of Asselem.
The
Gunjur Asselem based-club now joined Solifo, Mariken Investment, Kombo Real
Estate and Ecomog in the quarterfinal.
Strong
FC sailed to the quarterfinal as the best loser despite slipping to Asselem on
penalties after the regular time ended 2-2.
