One Badara Secka was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.
The charge sheet on count one stated that the accused, Badara Secka, on 15 March 2012, at Old Jeswhang, in the Kanifing Municipality, assaulted one Abdoulie Cham, a police officer, who was at the time in due execution of his duties.
Count two read that he assaulted the said complainant with a cutlass on his left hand, causing him actual bodily harm.
He was granted court bail of D50, 000 with two Gambian sureties, who must deposit their ID cards with the court.
The case was adjourned till 25 April 2012, for facts.
