Art Exhibition to Be Launched at The Alliance Franco Soon

Mr Mohammeh Adobayor Yusufu, alias Yuspalkala, has completed all preparations to launch his art exhibition which will run from the 4th to the 31st of December, 2008 at the Alliance Franco. Mr Adobayor, a Nigerian national is a man with a natural gift for artistic work and entertainment.

Yuspalkala, as he is fondly called, was born in MainlandLagosState of Nigeria in 1969. His late father Abdullahi Olajide, who recognised his talents at his tender age, encouraged him to pursue his career in art. He gained extensive experience in art in general, particularly on commercial and advertising art.

A self-taught artist, he attended Baftist High School Obanikoro Lagos where he graduated as a star dancer for his love for music. He obtained a diploma of art science at Ikoyi Victoria Island Lagos and finally got his bachelor in creative arts from the University of Zaria Kaduna State from 1990 to 1994.

In a chat with these reporters, Mr Adobayor m Yusufu said his visit to The Gambia is to share with and learn from Gambian arts and the traditions of Africa. He also wishes to share the same culture and lifestyle. According to Yuspala, his exposure amongst others is geared towards the development of African cultures as well as bringing our traditions in the forefront.
