Armed Forces to quarrel with Gambia Ports Authority in GFF 1st Division today

Armed Forces will clash with Gambia Ports Authority in the week nineteen fixtures of the 2013-2014 Gambia Football Federation GFF division one league today, Thursday 19 June 2014, at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Armed Forces are struggling one place above relegation zone on the league table and will be hoping to recover following their 1-0 defeat to Interior in all Security derby clash in the week eighteen fixtures played at the weekend to keep their hopes of staying in the top flight next season and avoid relegation to the second tier.

Gambia Ports Authority are among the title contenders and will be coming all out for a win against Armed Forces to fancy their chances of winning the league title after four years of trophy draught.

Banjul United will host Samger at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium, Banjul United are mid-table and will be aiming for a victory against embattle Samger to snatch good position on the league table.

Samger are currently struggling second place from bottom and will be expecting to bounce back after their recent defeat to the league champions Steve Biko in the week eighteen fixtures played at the weekend to boost their hopes of staying in the premier tier next season and avoid relegation to the second division.

Elsewhere, Gamtel will play against Bakau U`nited at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, Gamtel are 2nd place on the league table and will be fighting tooth and nail for a victory against Bakau United to mount pressure on current league leaders Real De Banjul as well as keeping their hopes of winning their first-ever league title since gaining promotion to the country’s top flight in 90s.

Bakau United are mid-table and will be hoping to bounce back following their 3-1 defeat to the current league leaders Real De Banjul to improve their position on the league table as well as placing their chances of staying in the first division next season and avoid relegation to the second division.
