Alleged thief arraigned

A man charged with stealing rice and a tiger generator was recently arraigned before Magistrate Tabally of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.

Mustapha Bah denied the charge and was subsequently granted bail of D50,000 with two Gambian sureties, who must be resident of the jurisdiction and must deposit their ID cards. The sureties must also swear to an affidavit of means.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused, Mustapha Bah, on 5 February 2011, at

Kairaba Avenue
, stole from one Dr Babucarr Njie, eight bags of rice and a tiger generator valued at D7,100.

The case was at that juncture adjourned.
