One Badou Sey was recently arraigned before Senior Magistrate Secka of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, charged with stealing. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
According to the charge sheet, on 19th August 2010, at Dippakunda in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Badou Sey stole from the house of one Famara Jammeh the following items: two traveling bags, one long trouser, one pair of school shoe, Kalamba security shirt, two plastic bags, containing two pairs of sport shoes, a traveling bag containing four trousers, one short and a shirt, total valued at D3, 675, being the property of the said Famara Jammeh.
Meanwhile, the accused was remanded in custody and the case adjourned to 13th September 2010 for continuation.
Meanwhile, the accused Badou Sey was also alleged to have broken into the house of one Paul Lopez and stole the following items: double sim mobile phone marked Nokia, valued at D1, 800, one single mobile phone Nokia, valued at D800 and necklace chain (value not known), totalling D2, 600, being the property of the said Paul Lopez.
