The defence
continued recently in the theft case involving one Seedy Touray, before
Magistrate Janneh of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.
In continuing his defence, the accused denied being a thief and that he did not steal any property, adding that when he was leaving to the market, there was no mobile on him.
“I was surprised when I was told that I am needed at the police station,” he said.
He said when he asked the complainant whether he saw him stealing his property, but the complainant said he did not see him stealing his property but his property was with him.
Under cross-examination by the prosecuting officer, the witness told the court that he knew the complaint but never visited him.
They only met in the street and the allegation made against him was unfounded and baseless, he said.
The case continues.
