Alleged rapist arraigned

One Sana Sowe was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Effim, charged with rape.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Sana Sowe, in the year 2006 at Sibanor village, unlawfully have canal knowledge of a 16-year-old girl without her consent.

The police prosecutor, Inspector, Kebba Fadera, applied for the case to be transfered to the Special Criminal Court of the High Court, and further applied for the accused to be remanded.

Magistrate Effirm granted the application and subsequently ordered the case to be transfered to the Special Criminal Court of the High Court.
