Magistrate Bubacarr Secka of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently heard a criminal case of assault brought against one Babucarr Jatta.
According to the particulars of offence, on 26th June 2010, at Brikama, Western Region, the accused, Babucarr Jatta, assulted Sgt Kaddy Gaye-Nyandu, while in due execution of her duties by closing the car door on her hand.
Meanwhile, the accused who pleaded not guilty to the charge was granted a court bail in the sum of D5, 000 with a Gambian surety.
The case was adjourned to 20th July 2010 for hearing.
