Alleged mobile thief arraigned

One Ebrima Beyai was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.

According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused, Ebrima Beyai, on 15 December 2011, at Marina International School, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole five mobile phones: three Samsung, one Nokia and one LG phone, the property of Jagan Njie, Fatou Jobe, Adama Mama Sawaneh and Sira Baldeh.

Beyai denied the charge and was granted court bail of D50, 000 with a Gambian surety.

The case was adjourned till 7 February 2012.
