The alleged theft case involving one Muhammed Mucktarr, a Mauritanian national and former employee of Gamfood Company, was recently adjourned at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

When the case was called in court, state counsel A.M. Yusuf announced his representation for the state, while the accused was represented by Lawyer Kebba Sanyang.

The state counsel then told the court that his witness was not in court and the case was set for continuation of PW3.

“I did not see the witness here,” he added. He then applied for an adjournment.

Defence counsel Kebba Sanyang was asked by the court whether he had any objection to the application made by the state counsel for adjournment, but the defence did not raise any objection to the application for adjournment.

The case was adjourned till 8 October 2013, for continuation of the prosecution’s case.
