The criminal trial of obtaining money by false pretence involving Yusupha Touray and Muhammed Touray continued recently at the Bundung Magistrates' Court.
Testifying before magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke, Sally Sissoho, the first prosecution witness told the court that sometime in 2009, the first accused, Yusupha Touray told her father that he had a piece of land for sale, situated at Fajikunda.
She testified that the first accused told her father that the land is valued at D300, 000, but they had bargained and agreed with her father at a price of D210, 000, which she said, her father paid to the first accused, Yusupha Touray.
According to her, the second accused, Muhammed Touray was in Basse, where her father contacted him on the phone.
The case was then adjourned to 10th May 2010.
