The case of conspiracy and cattle stealing involving Muhammed Sidibeh and Mustapha Sanneh continued recently at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Abeke.
Testifying, Felis Manneh told the court he is a student and that he recognised the 2nd accused person.
He said that on 12 May 2012, at around midnight while he was sleeping, he heard a noise around their goat, adding that he came out to see what was happening and he could not see the goat.
He said his brother, Anthony Manneh, also came out and they looked around and saw a vehicle in the bush, but nobody was inside.
He adduced that his brother asked him to stay and hide to see whether anybody would come, stating that as his brother left to search for the goat, he saw the 2nd accused coming from the bush.
Manneh further adduced that when he asked the accused what he was doing there, the accused told him he was a taxi driver and was hired by someone who asked him to wait for him at the bush.
“We later called the Siffoe Police Station and the 2nd accused was arrested, while the 1st accused was at large,” he said.
He said two days later, the 1st accused was also arrested and brought to the station, where he gave his statement to the police.
Hearing was adjourned.
