Alleged cattle rustlers case heard

The Brikama Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate Effim recently heard a criminal case of cattle rustling brought against Sulay Jallow, Muhammed Sillah and Momodou Bah.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, on 8th March 2010 at Sanyang Village, Kombo South, in Western Region, the accused persons conspired to commit a felony to wit stealing.

Count two stated that on 8th March 2010, at Sanyang Village, Kombo South, in Western Region, the accused persons, stole two female cattle valued at D31, 000, being the property of one Alagie Musa Dampha.

Meanwhile, the accused persons, all of whom all pleaded not guilty to the charges were granted a court bail in the sum of D50, 000 each with a Gambian surety.

The case was adjourned to 5th April 2010.
