Registration for institutions, organisations and media houses has been forthcoming for the event to be televised by Gambia Radio Television Services, according to organisers.
The race will include institutions and media houses, such as Gambia International Airways, Banjul Brewery, Gamcel, the UK in The Gambia, Capital FM, Taranga FM, Star FM, Kora FM, Gambia Radio and Television Services, The Point and Observer newspapers.
The race will as well see some ambassadors and dignitaries running the 5km as countries such as the UK, Germany and USA will have their nationals taking part in the run.
Registered athletes can join free buses from West Field Junction, at 7am, Brikama Jah Oil at 7.30am to the race starting point at Somita and Besse with the run set to start at 8.45am.
There will be trophies for elite runners, media houses and institutions, the organisers also said, adding that the running T-shirts are given through the sponsorship of Gamcel (YAAY BOROM).
