The Bakau giants Steve Biko will clash with Africell FC in the all Bakau derby game in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Gamtel sponsored FA Cup championship tomorrow, Saturday 4th July 2009, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium at 4.30pm.
Steve Biko sailed through to the quarter-finals, following their narrow 4-3 win over Brikama United on post-match penalty kick in a tough game that ended 2-2.
Africell FC reached the quarter-final with a 1-0 win over Seaview FC in second game of the championship.
Elsewhere Bakau United will entertain Tallinding United in other quarter-final clash at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda at 4.30pm.
Bakau United advanced to the quarter-finals with a 1-0 victory over Real de Banjul, while Tallinding United booked their ticket to the quarter-finals with a 3-2 win over Nema United on penalties after the 90th minute of play ended 0-0.
On Sunday 5th July 2009, the FA Cup champions Wallidan will battle it out with Young Africans in other quarter-final game at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
Wallidan progressed to the quarter-final with 6-5 win over Serrekunda East on penalties after a 1-1 draw, while Young Africans made it to the quarter-final after their 1-0 victory over the newly crowned champions of the 2008-09 GFA national 1st division league Armed Forces in the second round of the championship.
Elsewhere, Samger will meet the Telecommunications Boys Gamtel FC at the Stadium, Samger booked their ticket to the quarter-finals after their 3-2 victory over Jambanjelly, while Gamtel FC ensured a spot to the quarter-finals with a 4-1win over Hawks on post-match penalty kick after a goaless draw.
