Alfusainey Jarjue has been appointed regional coordinator of OlympAfrica centres in the sub-region.
His appointment for 2013 was based on nomination by the International Foundation for Olympic Africa.
He is the director of the OlympAfrica Serrekunda, The Gambia.
As regional director, Alfusainey will be responsible for the Olympic centres in Gandiaye (Somene), Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau and Sierra Leone.
Sainey will be managing several activities on behalf of the foundation as stated in his appointment letter dated March 22 and signed by Executive Director Alassan Thierno Diack.
This latest development is said to have come after the consultation made by Beatrice Allen and others with the Director of OlympAfrica Foundation in Dakar during the last Olympic Games in London.
