Afia Bi have snatched a vital win in the 2013-2014 Banjul Nawettan after
mauling Old Hands 5-2 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium at the weekend.
The victory has put Afia Bi on the driving seat in the Banjul summer biggest football jamboree, and the defeat dashed Old Hands’ hopes of qualifying for the second round of the Nawettan after the mauling by Afia Bi.
Old Hands are to perform a miracle to win their remaining games in order to stand a better chance of making it to the second round of the Nawettan.
In other results, Falcons beat Macdonald United 1-0, while Lancaster United beat Hagan United 2-1 in keenly-contested games played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
