A man Mamadi Camara was on Wednesday granted a bail bond of D300,000 by the Banjul Magistrates’ Court, after he was arraigned on a charge of being in possession of prohibited drug.
The bail conditions further stipulated that the accused should provide two Gambian sureties, one of whom must deposit a title deed within the Greater Banjul Area and deposit a new ID card.
According to the charge sheet, the accused, Mamadi Camara, on 20 August 2011, at Brusubi, in West Coast Region, was allegedly in possession of 420grams of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug and thereby committed an offence.
The case was then adjourned till 9 November 2011.
