Abuko
United have secured top spot in the ongoing women’s division one league
following their 3-1 win over newly-promoted side Kinteh’s at the Father Gough
Sports in Manjai Kunda over the weekend.
The
Abuko based team clinched the maximum points thanks to goals from Naffiesatou
Colley alias Zala, Sally Ceesay and Ya Haddy Gaye. Ya Awa Jarju’s lone goal
only proved to be a consolation for Kinteh’s.
The
win earned Abuko Unite top spot in the country’s women top tier standings with
7 points after three league matches.
Meanwhile,
Immigration defeated Brikama United 1-0 at the FIFA Goal project in Yundum
while City Girls drew goalless with Gambia Armed Forces at Serrekunda East mini
Stadium.

Scorpion now are second place with 7 points after thrashing Interior 3-1 at the
Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
