Abdou Ceesay of Dobson Street Vous have emerged winner of the sixth edition of the Late CA Jagne Memorial Draughts Championship competition after beating Alagie Malick Loum of O.J Junction Vous in the final played at the Manneh Sillah Memorial Basketball Courts in Banjul recently.
As champions, Abdou Ceesay received a certificate and a cash prize of D6, 000, whilst Alagie Malick Loum received a certificate and a cash prize of D4, 000 as runners-up.
Sheikh Njie of Dobson Street Vous received a certificate and a cash prize of D3,000 as the 3rd place-holder, while Modou Kanteh of Old NTC Vous in Brikama received D1,000 as the 4th place-holder.
Consolation prizes were also awarded to four other participants for their participation in the championship, organised by the Gambia National Draught Federation and sponsored by the Jagne family.
