Abuko United, Ball Conge FC, Leeds United, Gamma Link FC, Eden Boarders FC, Zurich FC Canon FC and Milan FC are all through to the quarter-final of the ongoing Serrekunda East Knock-out Championship.
Abuko United booked their place to the quarter-final championship following their 5-3 victory over United Stars FC last Tuesday 26th October 2009, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium after the 90th minute of play ended 1-1.
Both teams put up brilliant performance and created wonderful scoring opportunities in front of each other's goals mouth, but could not capitalise on their chances, and thus the first half ended 0-0.
As action resumed in the second period of the game, United Star open the score line through striker Buba Keita from a brilliant shoot in the 54th minute of the game.
Abuko United fought back and also created some scoring opportunities and in the 78th minute of the game they leveled the score line through substitute striker Bakary Kujabi. The game ended 1-1 leading to a post match penalty shoot-out, which ended 5-4 in favour of Abuko United.
Meanwhile, Canon FC will lock horns with Milan FC in the first encounter of the quarter-final championship on Thursday 29th October 2009, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Eden Boarder FC will clash with zurich FC on Friday 30th October 2009, while Leeds United will entertain Gamma Link FC on Saturday October 2009 and Ball Conge FC will battle it out Abuko United in the final game of the quarter- final championship on 1st November 2009 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
