Ebou Sanyang and Fatoumatta Ceesay were Tuesday arraigned before Magistrate Isatou Darboe of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with affray and wilful damage to property.
Both denied the charge and were granted court bail of D3,000 each with a Gambian surety, who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit an ID card.
The charge sheet on count one read that on 25 September 2014, at Senegambia, in the Kanifing Municipality, they jointly fought in a public place, and thereby committed an offence.
Count two stated that the 1st accused on the same date and place, wilfully and unlawfully damaged the bag of Fatoumatta Ceesay valued at D500, thereby committed an offence.
The case was adjourned till 13 October 2014.
