SLOW TO ANGER AND ABOUNDING IN LOVE

Oct 8, 2025, 12:26 PM

"For His anger lasts only a moment but his favour lasts a lifetime: weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." (Ps. 30:5)

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassion never fail: they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." (Lam. 3:22-23)

"Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him." (Rms. 4:7-8)

"Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more. And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin." (Hebs.10:17-18)

The above passages attest to God's love for His creation. Even though He punishes us for our wrongdoings, it is an act of sheer love.

"God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." (Hebs.10b--11)
