#Biblical Reflection

NOT BY OUR POWER

It may be foolish to take credit for every success story in our lives - when we know that things take shape and form in the spiritual realm first before manifesting in the physical. We need to engage God for every move that we make.
Two prominent unbelievers took it a step further when they not only attributed their handiworks to themselves but claimed to be gods for such achievements.
God’s office is not on sale nor is it vacant. It is uniquely reserved for Him. “I will not share my glory with anyone.” He declared.
King Nebuchadnezzar prided himself on the state of his kingdom. “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty.” (Dan. 4:30) He immediately lost his royal authority and lived like a wild animal, eating grass.
Herod seated with his royal robes on his throne delivered a public statement and the people shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” (Acts 12:22) For not giving credit to God an angel struck him dead on the spot. He was eaten by worms and he died.
Lesson learnt: Never take credit for any achievement; rather give credit to God to whom credit is due - even for the minute things and the great things as well..
