The Gambia Musicians Union (MusiGam) on Monday gathered at the Alliance Francise to celebrate the world music day in collaboration with Alliance Francise.
Speaking at the opening ceremony,Pa Modou Sarr, President of Gambia Musicians Union thanked all those who attended the event, adding that the day is celebrated around the world by musicians.
“This year for the first time, the music union with Alliance Francis will be celebrating the event together.”
Ali Cham, secretary general Gambia Musicians Union said over the years, it has been a difficult journey for the Musicians Union, but despite that, things are better, “We encourage more members to come and register with the union.
Cham therefore thanked Alliance Francise for the great partnership.
Justine, director of Alliance Francise said Alliance Francise is a French cultural center which aims to promote culture and arts that’s why we are here today to grace this event.
