Budding artists Fula Gangster featured in another controversial hit

Young artist Fula Gangster hit the musical spotlight with the hit song ‘Chago,’ a Mandinka word meaning prostitute. His lyrics are usually sexually provocative and always controversial, hence he is also known with the moniker is Mr. Chago. Yet his rise to stardom is becoming as fast a wild bushfire.

In an interview with a local media, the young artists said he had been singing conscious music for over 6 years but nobody seemed to have given him an ear and nobody bothered to listen to his music. Recently, in a video of him in school uniform with other school mates during his school days, he is seen rapping about unemployment, daily hardships, amongst others.

Thus, giving his reason for his controversial types of lyrics, he noted that the demand of Gambian music market is not the conscious music type but its direct opposite as with his release of ‘Chago,’ all that he had envisioned started coming and stardom started appearing.
