Women’s League Two: Jung Mama drop vital points, Kinteh close gap

Jung Mama have dropped three vital points in the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division Two after slipping to Kinteh’s 2-0  in their week-five outing played at the Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium on Saturday.

The defeat was the Lower River based-club’s first defeat against the Jeshwang based-club in the league campaign.

Kinteh’s and Jung Mama both secured 12 points each after five league matches.

Greater Tomorrow thrashed 3-1 Yakarr at the Bakau Mini Stadium on Sunday.

Greater Tomorrow now sit seventh-place on league table with 3 points after winning one match and losing three.

Mansawally drew goalless with Prison at the Soma Mini Stadium on Friday to share the spoils in the Women’s League Division Two.

Mansawally now occupy eighth-place on the league table with 5 points after winning one match, drawing two and losing two.

The Sifoe based-club, Yakarr sit fifth-place on the league table with 8 points after winning two matches, drawing two and losing one.

Jeshwang United thumped Fortune Bi 2-0 at the Brikama Mini Stadium on Sunday.

The victory earns Jeshwang United sixth-place on the league table with 7 points after winning two matches, drawing one and losing two.

Darboe’s FC drew1-1 with Lower Nuimi at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Saturday to share the spoils in the Women’s League Division Two.

Lower Nuimi occupy fourth-place on the league table with 9 points after winning two matches and drawing three.

Darboe’s FC still sit bottom-place on the league table with only 2 points after five league matches.
