
Berewuleng FC lifted The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division One trophy following their 2-1 victory over TMT FC in their final league fixture played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Sunday.
"We have a better season this year compared to the previous season," Coach Saine.
Coach Saine stated that they were unbeaten in the just ended Women League Division One campaign, adding that they conceded only six goals.
He revealed that he changed the notion of people, who are saying that the Women’s League Division One is dominated by one team.
Coach Saine revealed that it was not easy along the way but due to hard work, commitment and dedication earned them the trophy.
“I told my players not celebrate much because we have two games ahead of FF Cup,” Coach Saine said.
He further revealed that they are currently preparing to participate in the CAF Women’s championship.
Coach Saine called on the country’s football authority to increase league prize money to D700, 000 or 800, 000.
