Berewuleng FC clasp Women’s League 1 crown

Berewuleng FC on Sunday won the 2024-2025 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women's League Division One title following their 2-1 win over TMT in their final league fixture played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

The Brikama based-team lifted the Women’s League Division One trophy without tasting a defeat.

Berewuleng FC overrides traditional winners of the league trophy.

Isatou Buwaro could have opened the scores for TMT FC in the 9th minute of the game but her effort was saved by Berewuleng FC’s custodian Diminga Mendy.

Ellen Gomez came so close to open the scores for Berewuleng FC in the 30th minute of the match but her shot was denied by the goal post.
TMT FC took the lead through Laize Embolo Co in the 63rd minute of the match from a fabulous strike.

Sarah Jarju levelled matters for Berewuleng FC in the 74th minute of the match.

Sarah Jarju notched the winner goal for Berewuleng FC in the stoppage time to complete her brace.
The coronation ceremony was presided over by the first Vice president of the GFF Bakary K. Jammeh.

The event was also witnessed by Sainabou Cham, the President of Women's Football Association, General Secretary of GFF Lamin M. Jassey and host of profound dignitaries.
As winners, Berewuleng FC went home with a giant trophy, gold medals and a cheque for D500, 000 while Red Scorpions received 250,000

TMT FC received 125,000 as third-place holder.
According to reports reaching The Point Sports Desk, Berewuleng FC will participate in the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League.
