GFF League Two continues to gather momemtum

The Gambvia Football Ferederatio (GFF) Male League Division Two continues to gather momentum with a staggering 10 goals scored in just three matches in Saturday’s fixtures as Jam City came from behind twice to record a remarkable 3-2 victory over Young Africans.

Essa Bojang and Ebrima Jarju scored for Young Africans while Ebrima Jammeh restored parity before Alasana Yorijang would score twice for Jam City to finish 3-2 at full time.

Elite United boosted their qualification chances with a 2-1 win against Medical FC to close the gap on second place BST Galaxy to just 2 points. Muhammed Suso and Ebrima Jagne got the goals for Elite United while Lamin Jarra scored a 61st-minute converted kick to serve as consolation.

Elsewhere, Immigration and Jarra West played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in Bakau.

In the Women's Division two competition, three matches took centre stage with Lower Niumi and Prisons FC playing out a spectacular 2-2 draw in Banjul while Kintehs beat Trust FC 1-0 and Mansa Wally stunned leaders Brikama.

Njemmeh Joof and Marie Gomez were on the scoresheet for Lower Niumi while Isatou Saidykhan and Fatou Jarju registered the most needed goals for Prison FC. The result sent Prison to the summit with a point above Brikama, who lost to Mansa Wally.

Elsewhere, Sainabou Ceesay's lone goal in the 66th minute was enough for Kintehs to record a narrow 1-0 win over Trust FC. Meanwhile, Nyima Jaiteh and Bintou Jatta scored for Mansa Wally in a 1-2 defeat of Brikama with Binta Jarju on the scoresheet for Brikama.
