The scouting for young basketball players targeted 18 years and below.
Speaking at the event, Coach Adama Barrow thanked Serrekunda West Basketball organisation for their support.
Barrow stated that that the scouting was possible because of their exposure in the internet.
He further stated that they build connections through the internet, instagram and Facebook.
Barrow revealed that The Gambia will be organising a similar scouting talents.
Barrow stated that basketball needs more exposure and strategies to attract agent and companies.
“We have to empower our coaches because they are really doing a great job, Barrow pointed out.
Dimitrios Seymour of System Sports, revealed that they came to The Gambia to partner with Coach Adma Barrow to create more opportunities to Gambian kids.
He stated that they would take basketball players from The Gambia to North America, Canada and United States and enroll them to high schools, private schools, colleges with scholarships as an agent.
Seymour pointed out that he always scout and identify talents, not only in America, but all over the world.
He further pointed out that he gained many great things from Coach Adama and Mustapha about talents in The Gambia.
Seymour said that they were very happy with skill sets and the talent level in The Gambia.
