“My resignation comes following our Annual General Meeting (AGM) after discovering that some of our SWESO executive members are not fair to the committee. I feel like some of the members were playing double standards,” he said during an interview with Afri Radio.
Dodou Chinti accused SWESO president together with co-opted members of working together with their opposition camp, noting that as a committee, they all should fight hand-in-hand in achieving their goals. This was not the case at the committee level.”
He added that it is not fair for an executive member(s) to be having series of meetings with the opposition camp, trying to tarnish the image of other executive members.
“There are two people in the current SWESO committee who are playing double standards. They will talk to the other (opposition) camp, tarnishing the image of the other committee members,” he claimed.
“We have an oath of secrecy, but as a committee, anytime we discuss something at the committee level, it always goes out to the opposition camp. We always question ourselves, who among us are doing these,” he said.
Mr. Chinti noted that he cannot imagine a leader together with other co-opted members in an elected committee boycotting and joining the opposition camp, to discuss with them all their secrets.
According to him, when they were coming into office, they took an oath to work together to develop the zone.
“We started from scratch. When we first had our meeting and I stood at the park, I said to myself that there is no way that we cannot make it by developing the zone.”
