Sukuta nawettan knockout reaches quarterfinals

The 2023 Sukuta Sports Committee (SSC) ‘nawettan’ knockout competition has reached the quarterfinals following the completion of round of 16 matches at the Dembadou Mini Stadium.

 

Sukuta Bani Israel, Sea View, Karaba United, Senior Players, Manchester United and Sonada all progressed to the quarterfinals of the Sukuta nawettan knockout competition after winning their round of sixteen matches.

Sukuta Bani Israel cruised to the quarter-finals of the Sukuta nawettan knockout competition following their 5-4 post-match penalty shootouts win over Team Spurs after  regulation time ended goalless in their round of 16 clash.

Team Spurs will now switch their attention to the Sukuta nawettan league competition after their exit from the knockout competition.

Sea View beat Nema Youths 1-0 to sail to the quarter-finals of the 2023 Sukuta nawettan knockout competition.

The defeat saw Nema Youths out of both the league and knockout competitions in the 2023 Sukuta nawettan season.

Karaba United defeated Nema United 4-2 on post-match penalty shootouts after regulation time ended 1-1 in their round of 16 match to advance to the quarter-finals of the Sukuta nawettan knockout competition.

Yusupha Sanyang gave Nema Youth the lead in the 36th minute of the match.

Yaya Sambou levelled the scores for Karaba United in the 66th minute of the match.

This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 4-2 in favour of Karaba United.

The Nema boys will now hang their boots until year after their eliminations from both the league and knockout competitions in the 2023 Sukuta nawettan league competition.

Sea View have only the knockout competition to compete for.

Senior Players beat Dutokoto 5-4 on post-match penalty shootouts after regular time ended goalless in their round of 16 fixture to advance to the quarter-finals of the Sukuta nawettan knockout competition.

Manchester United progressed to the quarter-finals of the Sukuta nawettan knockout competition after beating Arabic School 1-0.

Sonada defeated Tigers 4-2 on post-match penalty shootouts after regulation time ended 1-1 in their round of 16 match to sail to the quarter-finals of the Sukuta nawettan knockout competition.

The defeat saw Tigers FC out of the 2023 Sukuta awettan.
