The sad news occurred on Monday 13 November 2023 at the Serrekunda General Hospital in Kanifing.
John served the cricket association with passion, commitment and dedication for more than three decades as a player and administrator.
The sad news is extended to the President of The Republic of The Gambia, Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Council, Gambia National Olympic Committee, Banjul City Council, management of the Independent Stadium, the International Cricket Council, ICC Africa, Africa Cricket Association, 40 Club, Cricket Clubs, all stakeholders in cricket in The Gambia and beyond.
Funeral arrangements would be announced later.
