Gambian players arrive in Tanzania ahead of Burundi crunch clash

Gambian players have landed at the Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dares Salam, Tanzania, on Monday 13th November 2023 ahead of their crunch 2026 World Cup qualifier opening clash against Burundi on Thursday 16th November 2023.

The Scorpions held their first training yesterday, Tuesday, 14 November 2023 to prepare themselves fit enough for their global biggest football fiesta qualifier match against the Swallows.

The Gambia will combat to overwhelm Burundi in their opening qualifier match to secure the vital three points in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his charges will also be resolute to bang Ivory Coast in their second qualifier match to increase their dreams of qualifying for the global biggest football showpiece. 

It could be recalled that The Gambia missed qualification to the 2022 World Cup hosted in Qatar, after slipping to Angola 3-1 on aggregate in their qualifier matches.
