The opening ceremony was graced by the Acting Director of the National Sports Council, Mahmoud Jawla, who delivered a statement highlighting the importance of effective sports administration in the development of national federations and athletes.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, First Vice President of GNOC, Commissioner Lamin King Colley reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to empower sports administrators through education, leadership and professional development.
The course is coordinated by experienced facilitators Lamin Sanneh and Ousman Abou Wadda.
The duo will guide participants through various topics related to sports management, governance, administration and leadership during the five-day training course.
The course is expected to enhance the operational capacity of National Associations and contribute to the continued growth and professionalisation of sports administration in The Gambia.
