Gambian international Solomon Kanform guided his Bangladeshi top flight side Sheikh Jamal to book a place in the quarter-final of the Bangladesh Federation Cup after scoring twice during their 3-2 win over Sheikh Russel in the ongoing Walton Cup played at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Kanform scored twice from the spot to help his side sail to the next round of the Walton Cup.

The former Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) midfielder has been a key member of Sheikh Jamal squad since joining the Yellow Fear side in 2018. He has now scored back-to-back goal for the Dhaka-based side.

Solomon has now been given the Number 10 jersey and promoted as the team leader for the new season by Coach Shafiqul Islam Manik.

In their last Federation Cup, both Solomon and his compatriot Pa Omar Jobe scored to salvage a crucial point for their side against the Bangladeshi Police side.

He (Solomon) was awarded the Man of the Match after scoring and providing an assist for his compatriot Pa Omar Jobe.
