According to the Serrekunda East Committee, the agreement will allow Africell to brand the walls surrounding the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium and structures inside it.
“The terms of the partnership include an annual payment of D260,000 for the first three years (Total D780,000). An annual payment of D275,000 for the last two years (Total D550,000). Free ISP connection for SESDO's office use at the mini-stadium throughout the agreement (valued at D2,300 per month, totaling D138,000 over five years). Provision of 67 Close User Group (CUG) lines for the term of the agreement (comprising 20 Executive Committee Members, 40 teams, and 7 disciplines) valued at D603,000 over five years,” said SESDO in a statement.
The agreement will also see Africell providing a stage and sound system for one main fundraising event each year at the stadium, valued at D50,000 (Total D250,000 over five years) and also supply of two sets of jerseys annually for the nawetan League Cup finalists, valued at D10,000 per set (Total D100,000 over five years).
The new five-year partnership was presented and approved by the SESDO under the leadership of Modou Yusupha Cham during an extraordinary meeting held on 12th and 13th March 2023, as required by the SESDO Constitution.
“We are incredibly grateful for this collaboration and thank Africell for their continuous support. SESFO will cheer on the finalists with the fabulous jerseys provided by Africell, making the nawetan League Cup even more thrilling,” the Committee states.
It added that the payment for points 1 & 2 above will be made annually in advance as per the agreement terms.
