Scorpions U-20 striker Adama Bojang has joined Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims from Gambian side, Steve Biko for an undisclosed fee.

"Adama Bojang, the revelation of the last African U-20 Nations Cup, has signed for Stade de Reims and will play for the club until 2027. The young striker will bring speed and percussion to the front line of the Reims attack," said Reims in a statement.

The 19-year-old became the eighth summer signing for the Reims-based team after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

The former Steve Biko goal poacher signed a professional contract following his exploits in the U-20 AFCON as well the U-20 World Cup respectively.

The Bakau-born player who scored six goals in 10 matches for The Gambia U-20 team will now begin a new adventure in Europe and will be looking to break into a Reims side that will be looking to build upon last season’s mid-table finish.

Meanwhile, Bojang has the not-so-enviable task of replacing Folarin Balogun’s goals at Reims. The United States Men National Team (USMNT) international was one of the revelations in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 21 goals in 37 games in the French top flight.
