Senegal have secured their place in the round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup following the conclusion of the third round of group-stage matches.

The 1-1 draw between Egypt and Iran in Group G proved decisive for the Lions of Teranga, who are now guaranteed to finish among the eight best third-placed teams, earning them a place in the knockout stage.

With three points and a goal difference of +2, Senegal can no longer be overtaken by the lower-ranked third-placed teams, ensuring their qualification for the next round.

In the other Group G fixture, Belgium cruised to a 5-1 victory over New Zealand, finishing top of the group.
