Scorpions arrive in Saudi Arabia ahead of training camp

The Gambia senior national team has arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of their international training camp.
Coach Tom Saintfiet and his charges held their first training session yesterday, Tuesday, 2nd January 2024 before the commencement of their international training camp friendly matches.

The Scorpions will play series of warm up matches during their international training camp in Saudi Arabia to prepare themselves fit enough for the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Ivory Coast.

The Saudi Arabia training camp will give Coach Tom Saintfiet the opportunity to strengthen his team before the start of the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations.

The Gambia will play against Morocco in an international friendly match on 7th January 2024 at the Mohammed V Football Complex before returning to the country to receive battle flag from President Adama Barrow for the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations.

The Scorpions will use their international friendly match against the Moroccans to prepare themselves ready for the continent’s biennial biggest football showpiece.

The Gambia will clash to triumph over Senegal, Guinea Conakry and Cameroon in their group phase matches to sail to the round of sixteen of the continent’s biennial biggest football showpiece.
